According to Red Herring, the Top 100 Global award is the culmination of a year’s work of scouring the globe and reviewing thousands of privately held companies from around the world. The pool of candidates for the award are the top private companies from the Regional competitions in Europe, North America, and Asia.

08 October 2013: MTN Swaziland is the first mobile operator to implement the recently-released version 4.1 of Digitata’s Dynamic Tariffing™ System, having upgraded in August 2013.
MTN Swaziland has been using Digitata’s Dynamic Tariffing™ System (DTS) since 2007, making them the first operation ever to launch a dynamic pricing product. The DTS solution was commercially launched as MTN Swaziland’s MTN Zone offering, on a partial basis in August 2007 with a full national launch following in June 2008.
MTN Swaziland was also the first operator to use Digitata’s Dynamic Tariffing for Data when they offered it to a closed user group in May 2012.
Digitata’s Dynamic Tariffing™ system version 4.1 offers the latest functionality, following continuous evolution of the product over a period of 6 years in conjunction with our customers.

According to Red Herring, nominees are evaluated on quantitative and qualitative criteria including financial performance, technological innovation, quality of management, execution of strategy, and integration into their respective industries, as well as a review of company track records and standings.

13 May 2013: Mr Kevin Coleman, Digitata Business Development Director (MEA) participated in the Mauritius Africa Trade and Investment Forum 2013 (MATIF 2013).
The event was held with a view to promoting trade and investment in Africa. The Mauritius Africa Trade and Investment Forum 2013 was jointly organised by the Board of Investment (BOI) and Enterprise Mauritius (EM) from 6th to 10th May 2013 in East Africa.
Digitata joined a delegation of some 20 Mauritian companies from key growth sectors to visit the cities of Dar-Es-Salaam, Nairobi and Kampala.
The theme was ‘Source Africa, Invest Africa’, and the objective to offer East African importers, distributors, wholesalers and retailers the opportunity to source quality “Made in Mauritius” products, duty free under the COMESA Trade Regime. In addition, dedicated sessions on investment provided a platform for local investors to identify business opportunities and allow them to consider the possibility of joint venture collaboration, strategic alliances, franchising and project financing in these high-growth cities.
04 December 2012: Digitata recently signed a contract for the supply of Digitata’s Dynamic Tariffing™ System to the Econet Wireless Group and its affiliates.
The Dynamic Tariffing™ System has now been successfully rolled out in Econet Zimbabwe.
Econet Wireless is a diversified telecommunications group with operations and investments in Africa, Europe, South America and the East Asia Pacific Rim, offering products and services in the core areas of mobile and fixed telephony services, internet and satellite.
Digitata is pleased to be working with the Econet Wireless Group, and Econet Zimbabwe in particular.
30 November 2012: Globacom Nigeria became the first operator in the country to offer a dynamic tariffing™ plan commercially when they launched Glo Flexi, their implementation of Digitata’s Dynamic Tariffing™ System (DTS), in August 2011.
Globacom Nigeria more recently re-launched their dynamic tariffing™ offering, now branded the Glo Flexi Reloaded plan and offering prepaid customers discounts on calls to ALL networks.
Digitata is proud to have played a pivotal role in the introduction of Dynamic Tariffing™ into Nigeria, and is pleased that Glo has entrusted us with the dynamic pricing of their airtime.
20 November 2012: MTN Uganda has relaunched MTN Zone, the operator's dynamic tariffing™ solution, with discounts of up to 99% and a minimum guaranteed discount of 5% on MTN calls.
The new offer on MTN Zone is themed 'Save more to do things you love'. As MTN customers get into the festive season, this will give them an opportunity to stay in touch with their loved ones.

25 October 2012: Digitata Limited and Rorotika Technologies are pleased to announce that Malawi's dominant telco, Telekom Networks Malawi (TNM) today commercially launched "Yanga" , TNM's implementation of Digitata's Dynamic Tariffing™ System. Implementation services were provided by Rorotika Technologies.
TNM, one of Malawi's two largest mobile networks, now geographically covers over 74% of Malawi and operates a 3.5G network. TNM's share of the total Malawi mobile subscriber market is estimated to have risen to 48%.
The implementation of Digitata's Dynamic Tariffing™ System will allow TNM Malawi to expand its customer base by making mobile telephony more affordable for the lower-income population segments , thereby further reducing the digital divide in Malawi.
